Health & Nutrition
At Kenmore Hills Early Learning, we believe mealtimes are about more than just food—they’re a chance to nourish growing bodies, build independence, and create positive relationships with healthy eating. All meals are freshly made from scratch, with our children’s health and safety as our top priority. Everything is prepared onsite by our dedicated Chef, using seasonal local Australian products. Our kitchen is 100% nut-free and sugar-free, and the majority of our meals are dairy-free (DF), making them more inclusive and easier to accommodate children with sensitivities. When dairy is used, it is always clearly identified. Helping us maintain a safe environment while supporting healthy eating habits from an early age. We focus on whole, simple ingredients and avoid added sugars so children can enjoy food that truly nourishes their bodies and minds.
From first tastes and textured meals to shared lunches with friends, our approach to food supports each child’s stage of development. Mealtimes are relaxed, inclusive, and guided by educators who encourage curiosity, conversation, and confidence around food.
Our menus are thoughtfully designed to be nutritious, balanced, and enjoyable, helping children develop healthy habits that support their wellbeing now and into the future. We also love partnering with families, sharing menu information and recipes so healthy eating can continue at home.
Our menus change with the seasons, so children enjoy fresh, tasty ingredients and excellent nutrition every day.
Each day includes:
• Breakfast
• Morning tea
• A nutritious lunch, with real food
• Afternoon tea
Children enjoy a wide variety of colourful vegetables, fresh fruits, whole grains, lean proteins, plant-based options, and dairy or dairy alternatives, supporting healthy growth, energy, and wellbeing.
Food Tasting & Special Events
We regularly host food tasting experiences and special events to engage children and families. These events allow families to sample items from our menu, learn more about our approach to nutrition, and share in their child’s food experiences. By involving families, we build strong connections and encourage positive, healthy eating habits both at the centre and at home.
